Position Overview

– Full-Time Night Shift We are currently seeking dependable, compassionate, and motivated Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to join our team in Newark, Ohio. As an EMT, you will play an essential role in providing emergency and non-emergency medical transportation services throughout the region. This full-time night shift opportunity is ideal for EMT professionals who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are committed to delivering safe, high-quality patient care during overnight operational hours.

Our night shift team plays a vital role in supporting emergency responses, hospital transfers, interfacility transports, and other essential patient transportation needs.

Compensation

$21.00 Night shift differential: Additional $2.00 per hour Total night shift hourly rate: $23.00 We recognize the importance of our overnight team and offer additional hourly compensation for working night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Respond promptly and professionally to emergency and non-emergency medical transportation calls. Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in accordance with state regulations, clinical protocols, and company policies. Safely operate and maintain an assigned ambulance. Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor patient conditions throughout transport.

Provide appropriate emergency medical care within the EMT scope of practice. Complete accurate patient care reports and all required documentation. Ensure the ambulance is clean, properly stocked, and ready for deployment at all times. Inspect medical equipment and supplies to ensure operational readiness. Communicate effectively with dispatch, healthcare facilities, patients, families, and fellow team members.

Assist patients with safe lifting, movement, loading, and unloading procedures. Maintain compliance with applicable safety standards, operational procedures, and regulatory requirements. Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and respect when interacting with patients and healthcare professionals.

What We're Looking For

Current State EMT certification or eligibility for state certification through reciprocity. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Strong clinical judgment and patient assessment skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused attitude. Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills. Dependability, punctuality, and commitment to scheduled overnight shifts. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including assisting with patient movement and equipment handling. Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced emergency medical transportation environment.
