Position Overview

– Part-Time Day Shift We are currently seeking a skilled, dependable, and compassionate Paramedic to join our team in Newark, Ohio. As a Paramedic, you will play a vital role in providing advanced life support (ALS), emergency medical care, and non-emergency medical transportation services throughout the region. This part-time day shift opportunity is ideal for Paramedics looking for a rewarding position with competitive hourly compensation and scheduling flexibility.

You will support emergency responses, scheduled patient transports, hospital discharges, and interfacility transfers while ensuring every patient receives safe, professional, and compassionate care. Competitive Pay: $26.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

Respond promptly and professionally to emergency and non-emergency medical calls. Provide advanced life support (ALS) and appropriate emergency medical interventions within the Paramedic scope of practice. Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuously monitor patient conditions. Administer medications and perform advanced medical procedures in accordance with applicable protocols and medical direction.

Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient conditions. Deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care in accordance with state regulations and company policies. Safely operate and maintain an assigned ambulance. Ensure medical equipment, supplies, and medications are properly maintained, inspected, and ready for use.

Complete accurate patient care reports and all required medical documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatch, healthcare facilities, medical personnel, and fellow team members. Assist with safe patient lifting, movement, loading, and unloading procedures. Maintain ambulance cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness.

Follow all applicable safety standards, clinical guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Demonstrate professionalism, leadership, and compassion when interacting with patients and healthcare professionals.

What We're Looking For

Current State Paramedic certification or eligibility for state certification through reciprocity. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Strong advanced clinical assessment and decision-making skills. Knowledge of ALS procedures, emergency medical protocols, and patient care standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to remain calm and make sound clinical decisions in high-pressure situations. Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused attitude. Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and accurate medical documentation skills. Dependability, punctuality, and commitment to scheduled day shifts.

Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including assisting with patient movement and equipment handling.
