Job Summary

The Micro Trench CDL Laborer supports micro-trenching operations for underground utility installation, primarily fiber optic conduit, while also operating CDL-required vehicles and equipment. This role combines hands-on labor with driving responsibilities and requires a strong focus on safety, reliability, and teamwork.

• Direct deposit every Friday Key Responsibilities •Perform general labor duties in support of micro-trenching operations •Drive CDL-required vehicles such as dump trucks, water trucks, or equipment transport trucks •Assist Micro Trench Operators with trenching, conduit placement, and restoration •Load, unload, and transport equipment, tools, and materials to and from job sites •Hand dig, shovel, compact, and assist with surface restoration •Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and basic maintenance •Set up and maintain work-zone safety, including cones, barricades, and traffic control •Identify and protect existing underground utilities •Follow OSHA regulations, DOT requirements, and company safety policies •Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites Required Qualifications •Valid CDL (Class A or B, depending on company requirements) •Clean driving record •Ability to perform physically demanding labor •Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions •Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a crew •Reliable attendance and transportation Preferred Qualifications •Construction, utility, or fiber optic experience •Experience driving dump trucks or construction support vehicles •OSHA 10 or 30 certification •Traffic control or flagging certification Physical Requirements •Ability to lift 50+ lbs •Frequent bending, kneeling, standing, and walking •Ability to climb in and out of trucks and equipment Work Environment •Outdoor construction sites in residential and commercial areas •Exposure to noise, dust, traffic, and heavy equipment •Travel between job sites may be required
