Yard Material Coordinator

Lighthouse Technologies is looking for a dependable and organized Yard Materials Coordinator to manage materials, equipment, and inventory at our local yard. The ideal candidate is comfortable working outdoors, operating a forklift, handling cable and fiber reels, and keeping the yard organized and safe. Cable, fiber, telecommunications, construction, or related industry experience is strongly preferred.

Primary Responsibilities •Manage and organize Lighthouse Technologies and customer materials, equipment, and assets within the yard. •Load and unload cable and fiber reels from trailers. •Operate a forklift and other equipment as needed to safely move materials. •Maintain accurate inventory of materials and equipment stored in the yard.

•Organize materials and equipment so they are easily accessible when needed. •Prepare material and equipment orders to ensure crews have the supplies necessary to complete assigned work. •Pick up and deliver materials and equipment using a box truck, large van, or other company vehicles. •Assist with loading and securing materials for transportation.

•Keep the yard clean, organized, and free of safety hazards. •Monitor materials and equipment and report shortages, damage, or other issues to management. •Assist field crews with locating and preparing materials for upcoming projects. •Perform other yard and material-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

•Must be eligible to work in the United States. •Valid driver's license and driving record that meets Lighthouse Technologies standards. •Must be able to safely back a flatbed trailer. •Forklift certification or prior forklift experience preferred. •Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, construction, telecommunications, cable, fiber, or related environment preferred.

•At least 1 year of Excel experience. •Ability to use computers and software applications, including spreadsheets, email, web-based applications, and inventory or billing systems. •Ability to pass a nationwide background check and drug screen. •Must present a positive and professional image to employees, customers, and clients.

•Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this job. •Frequent walking, standing, sitting within the work area. •Must be able to lift/push/pull/carry up to 80 pounds.
