Job Skills / Requirements Security Officer – Front Desk and Patrol Location: San Antonio, TX- 78216 Schedule: Monday–Friday | 2:00 PM–10:00 PM United Protective Services is seeking a dependable, professional Security Officer for a Class A commercial property.

This position combines front desk and receptionist duties with interior and exterior patrols , offering a mix of customer interaction and active security responsibilities. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management while maintaining a welcoming environment and a visible security presence.

This is an active position requiring extended periods of walking and standing. Strong customer service skills, professionalism, and reliability are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Provide professional front desk coverage, greeting and assisting tenants, visitors, and vendors. Monitor building access and assist with visitor and contractor check-in procedures. Conduct routine interior building and exterior perimeter patrols. Maintain a visible security presence throughout the property. Identify and report suspicious activity, maintenance issues, lighting outages, and safety hazards.

Respond to incidents and emergencies in accordance with site post orders. Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and courteous demeanor at all times.

Requirements

At least one year of security, concierge, front desk, receptionist, or customer service experience preferred. Active Texas Level II Security License. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must be available Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM . Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

Comfortable working in a professional Class A corporate high-rise environment. Able to walk and stand for extended periods throughout the shift, with or without reasonable accommodation. Comfortable conducting interior and exterior patrols, including outdoor patrols in heat, cold, and rain. Able to use a smartphone or computer to complete reports and documentation.

Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently. Dependable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. Why Join Our Team?
