50-$16.00 (Depending on experience) United Protective Services is seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-focused Security Officer to provide exterior vehicle patrol coverage at a retail property. This is an active patrol position requiring the officer to operate a company/client patrol vehicle, maintain a visible security presence, and regularly work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Primary Responsibilities Conduct routine vehicle patrols throughout the property, parking lots, and surrounding exterior areas. Maintain a visible and proactive security presence to deter theft, vandalism, trespassing, and unauthorized activity. Monitor parking areas, storefronts, exterior access points, and other designated areas.

Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, property damage, and maintenance concerns. Professionally interact with tenants, customers, vendors, employees, and Property Management. Respond promptly to security concerns, disturbances, and incidents. Complete accurate Daily Activity Reports (DARs), incident reports, and patrol documentation.

Safely operate the assigned patrol vehicle and comply with all company and property driving requirements.

Qualifications

Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required. Must reside within approximately 20 miles of ZIP Code 77024. Scheduling flexibility is required , including the ability to assist with coverage outside the regular schedule when operationally necessary. Previous security experience preferred. Must be comfortable operating a patrol vehicle for extended periods.

Must be willing and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain. Strong customer service and communication skills. Professional appearance, attitude, and demeanor. Ability to remain alert, observant, and proactive throughout the shift. Dependable attendance and punctuality are required.

Ability to complete written and electronic security reports accurately.
