As a Regional Retail Manager, you provide strategic leadership that accelerates new customer acquisition and deepens existing relationships across your region. You set regional strategy and coach Branch Managers to deliver disciplined sales execution, outstanding service, and strong operational and risk performance. You deepen consumer and business relationships through scalable market plans, revenue line partnerships, and visible community engagement—building a high‑performance, inclusive culture that attracts, develops, and retains talent while achieving growth and operational excellence.
As a Regional Retail Manager, you will:
- Regional Strategy, Growth & Market Leadership Develop and execute a regional business plan that delivers deposit, lending, fee‑income growth and expense budget goals; align branch scorecards and activity routines to plan. Analyze market trends, competitor moves, and community needs to shape growth strategies, campaigns, and calling programs. Build centers of influence, community partnerships, and brand presence to expand Nicolet’s visibility and referral pipelines.

Partner with internal specialists (mortgage, wealth, commercial/treasury management) to drive integrated solutions and revenue line referrals. Review region, branch and individual performance; identify gaps; direct targeted activities, training, and follow‑ups to sustain results.
- Customer Experience & Relationship Management Champion an exceptional, frictionless customer experience across channels and branches, ensuring consistent service standards and recovery practices. Support resolution of escalated or complex client issues; observe branch delivery and provide actionable feedback to improve service and retention.
- Talent, Culture & Inclusion Hire, develop, and retain Branch Managers and key branch leaders; create succession plans and talent pipelines for critical roles. Deliver ongoing coaching, observations, and performance reviews; recognize top performance and address underperformance with clear actions. Foster a diverse, inclusive, and engaged culture that reflects Nicolet’s values and strengthens team well‑being and results.
- Risk Management, Compliance & Operational Excellence Ensure consistent adherence to regulatory and policy requirements (e.g., BSA/AML, KYC, OFAC, fair lending, privacy, information security) and strong control environments at each branch. Monitor operational/audit results, implement corrective action plans, and reinforce a culture of risk awareness, timely issue escalation, and remediation. Oversee cash/vault controls, dual‑control practices, branch security, and loss‑prevention standards; ensure readiness for audits and exams.
- Regional Operations & Execution Standardize branch routines, resource allocation, scheduling, and workflow improvements to optimize staffing, productivity, and customer experience. Ensure Branch Managers maintain strong product/technology fluency on Nicolet’s offerings, digital tools, and policy updates.
