• Dayton, OH, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: Undisclosed, MSD is looking for a Plumbing Journeyman to join our team! We’re seeking a skilled Plumbing Journeyman to join our team and take on a leadership role in pipe system installation and repair. In this position, you'll plan and oversee the layout and installation of plumbing systems, ensuring all work is completed according to specifications, local codes, and safety standards. The Plumbing Journeyman installs and removes plumbing fixtures for new construction and renovation projects, interpreting blueprints and performing tasks like drilling, measuring, cutting, and welding. They also mentor and evaluate Apprentice Plumbers while ensuring high-quality service and responding to customer needs consistently. Minimum Requirements: 5+ years’ recent experience in plumbing field Possess (or be able to pass) city/county/state Journeyman certification test Completion of a state-sponsored Apprenticeship program preferred Advanced knowledge of Plumbing practices and procedures US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status required Key Job Duties: Plan, install, and repair pipe systems according to specifications, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Guide and train team members on proper techniques, procedures, and safety practices while overseeing job activities and schedules. Conduct quality control inspections, report data such as labor hours and materials usage, and ensure safe operation of machinery and tools. Maintain proficiency in plumbing skills and obtain necessary licensures/certifications.
