• Conroe, TX Civil Service: Yes Shift Hours: Monday – Friday (7:30 am – 4:30 pm) Education, Experience and Skill Requirements High school diploma Ability to lift 25 lbs Able to pass a drug test Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office products Strong interpersonal skills for working with the public Effective time management skills Ability to work with a team or independently Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to multitask, while maintaining quality of work Summary: The primary duty will be overseeing the day-to-day operations of the mailroom, while assisting with outgoing mail, postage, special and certified mail. This position will answer incoming calls to the main County number and route the call to the correct County department. Coordinating with vendors and departments to process billings for telecommunications and postage. Primary Job Duties Primary support for citizen's who are calling the County number. Provide support and assist with the mailroom duties. Keeps inventory of the needs of the mailroom. Provide timely responses to vendors, and other departments. Process billings for the postage and telecommunication services of the County. Coordinate with other departments and management with mailroom issues. Other duties, as assigned. After receiving a conditional offer of employment, applicant must pass a drug screen (1/2 cost = $20.00, responsibility of applicant) and may need a physical agility test (1/2 cost = $22.50, responsibility of applicant) before becoming an employee of Montgomery County.
