Maintenance Technician
Job description
This is a remote position. We are looking to add to our team for rehabilitating resident real estate in the Kansas City area. The ideal candidate will have a general understanding of basic handyman skills and will be able to perform basic rehab tasks, such as those set forth in the list below.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and light repairs (water leaks, garbage disposal, drywall repair) Paint designated areas and items. Replace basic electrical fixtures, light switches, receptacles, light bulbs and fixtures. Perform minor plumbing functions, including installation and removal of fixtures Perform minor electrical functions, including installation and removal of light fixtures and ceiling fans Undertake light installation or carpentry (e.
g. hanging doors, changing hardware) Repair and treat structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors, cabinets, walls and building exteriors Installation and removal of appliances Basic Landscaping and yard work Demo, trash removal, and clean up Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing or HVAC repairs Requirements Proven experience as handyman Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing or HVAC systems Basic math skills Good communication ability Well-organized and apt in problem-solving Attention to detail Must have own basic tools Must drive personal vehicle to job sites Benefits This job involves a flexible schedule that will depend on the pending projects.
In addition to the hourly rate, the selected candidate will receive a $2,000 bonus for each completed project and will have the opportunity to utilize the services of Rick Davis Real Estate (title, legal, and real estate brokerage) at a discounted rate so that he or she can grow their own investment business or purchase a personal family residence.
