Title Examiner

This is a remote position. We are looking to add an experienced tile examiner to our closings to department to help with our growing business catered to real estate investors and to help with the expansion of our title department. Having a law firm, title company, and brokerage all under one family, we are able to close deals that other title companies can't and can move quickly to close faster than the competition.

At Rick Davis Real Estate, we focus on being disruptive and doing things differently so we can provide a better experience for our clients. In addition to closing deals that others can't, we are also experts on remote closings offering remove video notary services and e-signatures. As such, we can close transactions all over the states of Kansas and Missouri and not just in the Kansas city area.

Responsibilities

Performs title examination and examines the chain of title for a wide range of title orders. Abstracts and analyzes records, such as leases, subleases, liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics, and plot and map books. Determines ownership and legal restrictions to verify legal description of property and completeness of records that may cross county lines.

Explain chain of title, exceptions, and requirements to customers and managers Resolves most issues such as missing information, incomplete, inaccurate or contradictory information contained in the title documentation Prepares initial title commitment documentation based on the application of procedural guidelines Prepares and reviews reports for accuracy Requirements Experience with Data.

Trace title plant software Experience with searching title history in Kansas and Missouri Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures Detail / quality orientation Analytical review skills Research skills Strong problem solving skills Communication skills, both verbal and written Customer service orientation Standard MS skill set Proficient with company operating systems Knowledge of legal terms helpful Benefits In addition to the hourly rate, the selected candidate will quarterly bonuses and will have the opportunity to utilize the services of Rick Davis Real Estate (title, legal, and real estate brokerage) at a discounted rate so that he or she can grow their own investment business or purchase personal a personal family residence.

This position is remote and can be performed anywhere in the U.S. Experience with local title standards is required, but physical presence in our office is not.
