Commercial Estimator

Commercial Estimator ABOUT THE POSITION D&D Garage Doors is seeking a Commercial Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial overhead door and loading dock projects. The ideal candidate combines construction estimating ability with knowledge of commercial door products, operators, dock equipment, and installation requirements.

Experience in commercial construction, door installation/service, and estimating provides a strong foundation for success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review project plans, specifications, bid documents, and customer requirements.
• Prepare material takeoffs, labor calculations, pricing, and commercial proposals.
• Identify suitable commercial overhead door, operator, and loading dock products.
• Coordinate with vendors, project teams, and sales leadership to verify scope and pricing.
• Identify exclusions, clarifications, and potential project risks.
• Maintain accurate estimate records and support proposal revisions.
• Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and internal teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of one year of relevant experience in commercial construction, estimating, overhead door systems, or a closely related field.
• Knowledge of commercial overhead doors, operators, loading dock equipment, and related installation requirements.
• Familiarity with construction estimating, material takeoffs, labor calculations, and proposal preparation.
• Ability to read plans, specifications, and technical product information.
• Strong organization, accuracy, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with business software and estimating tools.
• Valid driver's license required. PHYSICAL & WORK REQUIREMENTS
• Full-time position; typical schedule Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM.
• Primarily office/computer-based work with site visits as needed.
