Join Our Talent Pool – Offshore Medics (Trinidad-Based)! Are you a qualified Offshore Medic based in Trinidad with a passion for emergency medical care and offshore health management? We are boosting our talent pool for upcoming projects across local, regional, and international locations. The Offshore Medic is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all personnel onboard the vessel by providing medical care, emergency response, and health management.
This role involves delivering immediate medical treatment, conducting routine health assessments, managing medical supplies, and ensuring compliance with offshore health and safety regulations. Operating in a remote environment, the Offshore Medic plays a critical role in emergency preparedness, supporting crew welfare, and contributing to a safe working environment in collaboration with vessel leadership and HSE teams.
What you will do
Emergency Medical Care: Provide immediate medical treatment for injuries, illnesses, and emergencies onboard. Liaise with the topside medical doctor to coordinate health management activities and emergency care. Routine Medical Services: Conduct health assessments, administer medications, and provide minor treatments for non-emergency conditions.
Medical Evacuation Coordination: Assess and arrange medical evacuations when necessary, coordinating with shore-based medical support. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety regulations, including hygiene, sanitation, and disease prevention measures. Medical Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate medical logs, treatment records, and incident reports in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Medical Supplies & Equipment Management: Maintain inventory, order necessary supplies, and ensure medical equipment is operational and up to date. Training & Drills: Conduct basic first aid training for crew members and participate in onboard emergency response drills. Collaboration: Work closely with vessel leadership, HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) teams, and shore-based medical personnel to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
Professionals with experience in offshore, remote, or maritime medical settings who hold relevant certifications such as: Registered Paramedic, Nurse, or Offshore Medic Certification Valid BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS Advanced First Aid, Trauma Management, ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), ITLS (International Trauma Life Support), or equivalent.
