Job Title: Production Manager Department: Production Experience: 8–12 Years Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and optimize manufacturing operations while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing production teams, achieving operational excellence, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and oversee daily production operations to achieve production targets. Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and company policies. Optimize manpower, equipment utilization, and production schedules for maximum efficiency. Monitor production KPIs such as productivity, OEE, rejection rates, downtime, and on-time delivery.
Lead, mentor, and develop production supervisors and shop-floor teams. Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Procurement, and Supply Chain departments to ensure smooth operations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, or Six Sigma methodologies. Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure proper inventory control and minimize production losses and material wastage. Prepare production reports, analyze performance metrics, and present operational updates to management. Support new product introductions and process improvements. Manage compliance with statutory, environmental, and safety requirements.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Production Engineering, or a related discipline. 8–12 years of experience in production or manufacturing operations, with leadership responsibilities. Strong understanding of production planning, process optimization, quality systems, and maintenance coordination.
Experience with ERP systems and production reporting tools. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities. Effective people management and team-building skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and deliver results under pressure.
