JOB TITLE: Tournament Traveler – Tournament Office Associate LOCATION: Tournament Site ( Las Vegas, NV or Mooresville, NC ) POS I TION TYPE: Temporary , Full-Time FLSA STATUS: N on- E xempt REPORTS TO : Tournament Office Supervisor WORK HOURS: Varying shifts are scheduled seven days per week based on tournament operations.

The ability to work early in the mornings, late in the evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours is required.

POSITION SUMMARY

USBC is looking for dedicated , service-minded individual s to join our tournament traveler team as a Tournament Office A ssociate. Tournament Office team members provide essential pre- tournament and onsite services in the areas of registration, verification, check-in , and general information support . Duties include assisting captains with registration , reviewing bowler data for accuracy , r eviewing team entries for accuracy, eligibility, and compliance prior to competition.

Tournament Office A ssociates play a vital role in delivering a smooth tournament experience and contributing to overall participant satisfaction. DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: Communications – Primary tournament customer contact via phone (switchboard), email, fax, or mail. Registration

  • OLR (online registration) assistance and general tournament information. Scheduling – Assign lanes (companion teams, special events, and special needs). Apply tournament policy – Competition Compliance Form review (averages, divisions, and/or roster requirements). Execute financial tasks – collect funds on membership sales, event sales, and balance dues. Confirm customer data – review of contact information, membership, and average. Ensure entry accuracy – review squad times, roster, and division(s). Participate in scheduled meetings and huddles , k eep ing tournament leaders hip informed of department activities and service challenges. Other duties as assigned . SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS :
  • Must be neat and well-groomed always as will have frequent contact with guests, clients, and supporting staff.

  • Strong communication skills-ability to speak clearly and confidently.
  • Focused–the ability to complete tasks accurately in a distraction-filled environment.

  • Adaptable and flexible approach to changing operational needs.
  • Computer and communication system literate
  • PC, multi-line phone, two-way radios, copiers, faxes, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive participant, financial, personnel, scoring, and operational information. EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS : High School Diploma or continuing education . Familiarity with tournament bowling and bowling terminology. Experience working in a fast-paced service environment. Ability to pass USBC Registered Volunteer Program background screening and adhere to the Code of Conduct of the USBC Registered Volunteer Program. PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Must be able to work in an occasionally noisy environment with potential short-term exposure to non-toxic fumes. Must be mobile as well as sit or stand for extended periods. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. TRAVEL: T his position will require the employee to be on-site for the Ch ampionships, so relocation is required for up to 6 months at a time .
