Assistant Superintendent

Responsibilities

Supervises craft workers assigned to area of responsibility, provides liaison between field engineering and crafts to ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications. Assist in planning work schedule, determining manpower levels, material quantities, equipment requirements, etc. Monitor work performance and productivity of crafts to ensure project rules, procedures, safety requirements, etc.

Qualifications

4 year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience. Minimum 5 years construction engineering or similar experience preferably in supervisory capacity. Working knowledge of various construction disciplines, union agreements/jurisdiction, cost control, scheduling, safety regulations, engineering drawings and other documents required.

Ability to supervise and evaluate craft performance essential.
