Duties and Responsibilities

Work under the direction of Lead Electrician. Be a key individual contributor on electrical installation projects Detailed Conduit Bending and wiring of panels, breakers, splice boxes, and various equipment. Use electric meters to check voltage, amperage and continuity of circuits. Ability to read basic electrical blueprints and symbols.

Assist Lead Electrician in training apprentices. Qualification Requirements: 4 or more years’ experience as an electrician in an industrial/commercial setting Skilled conduit bending Operate Scissor lift, boom lift, fork lift Knowledge of common electrical materials used in an industrial setting Ability to work with moderate supervision Understanding of basic wire size capacity, pipe, and box fill Experience with motor wiring and controls is a plus Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and electric symbols Excellent problem-solving skills Desire to grow into the role of a Lead Electrician Clean License and ability to pass drug screening Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions working in a team environment Professional presentation and good communication skills; Bi-lingual is a plus Physical Requirements: Ability to work at heights 15-40ft Ability to lift/pull at least 50lbs American Industrial Electric is an equal opportunity employer and will consider all applications without regards to race, sex, age, color, religion, national origin, veteran status, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information or any characteristic protected by law.
