General Manager - Agriculture Operations

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee agricultural operations specializing in palm trees, fruits, and vegetables. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of agricultural practices, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to improve productivity, operational efficiency, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance agricultural production and operational efficiency across palm tree, fruit, and vegetable farming. Oversee all aspects of agricultural operations, including planting, cultivation, harvesting, and distribution. Monitor production processes to maintain quality standards and ensure regulatory compliance.

Collaborate with agronomists and agricultural experts to optimize crop yields and implement sustainable farming practices. Manage operational budgets, financial forecasts, and overall financial performance. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, distributors, and key industry stakeholders. Recruit, train, and mentor employees, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Stay updated on agricultural technologies, industry trends, and regulatory developments to implement best practices. Report to the executive team on operational performance, business outcomes, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

and Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in agricultural management, particularly in palm tree, fruit, and vegetable farming. Proven track record of managing large-scale agricultural operations. Strong understanding of modern agricultural technologies, crop management, and farming practices.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, with experience using data to drive operational improvements. Knowledge of agricultural regulations, quality standards, and sustainability practices.
