Pharmacy Technician - Rutland

ABOUT THE ROLE

Under general supervision of a licensed pharmacist, and in accordance with standard department procedures, prepare and distribute patient medications. FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: Read and interpret physician orders and transcribe same into pharmacy system Adjudicate third party claims Answer telephones, responding to questions and requests Operate point-of-sale system, maintaining accurate drawer and completing deposits Order and receive medications to maintain appropriate inventory Deliver medications to patients Maintain proper storage and security conditions for medications SKILLS REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS: High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous pharmacy technician and or prior healthcare experience strongly preferred Technician Certification or equivalent must be completed within 18 months of employment Ability to interpret and perform basic mathematical computations HOW WE SUPPORT YOU: Medical insurance.
