Key Responsibilities

As a Contents Technician, you will be responsible for safely handling, moving, and storing customers’ belongings after damage to their property, ensuring everything is properly inventoried, packed, and returned in excellent condition. This role requires a customer-focused attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in both residential and warehouse environments.

In this role, you will also: Maintain clear and effective communication with customers regarding their belongings and any concerns they may have Take a comprehensive digital inventory of all items impacted by damage Carefully pack, label, and organize items to ensure their safety and easy identification Safely wrap furniture and other large items to prevent damage Use dollies and proper lifting techniques to move items from the customer’s home into company vehicles for transport to our warehouse Manage the safe storage and organization of items within our warehouse facility Execute the return of items to the customer’s home upon completion of reconstruction Adhere to all safety and SERVPRO® production guidelines to ensure a safe and effective work environment Make basic logistical decisions regarding salvage vs.
