We are seeking a Patient Access Clerk to join our Patient Access Department. Location: Blythe, California Position Type: Per-Diem Shift Availability: Variable (Days/Nights/Weekends) Night Shift Differential: Earn an additional $1.25 per hour for all hours worked between 7:00 PM and 7:00 AM What You’ll Do Before the Visit: Schedule appointments, complete pre-registration, verify insurance coverage, and initiate pre-certifications. During the Visit: Register patients, validate insurance, coordinate transfers, and escort patients to the right service areas when needed. After the Visit: Initiate authorizations for inpatient stays and scan documentation into charts.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required. Proficiency in computer systems and software applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Fluent in an additional language preferred. At least one year of clerical experience required, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting. Experience with data entry, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate records is preferred.
