Job Title: Philanthropy Officer Team: Development Classification: Full-Time, Exempt Reports To: Director of Development Direct Reports: none Effective Date: November 2025 Position Summary The Philanthropy Officer is responsible for securing large donations and building relationships with high- net-worth individuals, and foundations to support the organization’s fundraising goals.

Position Qualifications For Employment with Oliver Gospe l A born again believer in Jesus Christ Affirm without reservation Oliver Gospel’s Statement of Faith Fully support Oliver Gospel’s Mission and Vision Statements Ability and desire to work in harmony with other Oliver Gospel employees Be on time and ready to work at the assigned work location on every scheduled day of work Due to sensitivity for potential impact upon Oliver Gospel’s Program Participants, the use of tobacco and/or vaping products is not permitted during scheduled work hours or at any Mission event Valid South Carolina driver’s license For the Philanthropy Officer Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field Exceptional skills in relating to a wide variety of individuals Experience in customer service, sales, and nonprofit fundraising Experience in public speaking Knowledge of fundraising and donor CSM software Knowledge of PC-based software and Microsoft suite products Position Responsibilities Design and lead the philanthropy cultivation process for the organization, including elevating the public profile and engagement opportunities of key organizational leaders.

Cultivate major donor relationships through various communication channels. Manage, engage, and increase the quantity and value of current major donors and prospects Generate large sponsorships and donations for special events. Compile, manage, and solicit large donations from a qualified portfolio of up 125-150 Major Donors.

Report progress against identified metrics. Conduct educational and informational presentations and tours on Oliver Gospel’s work to community supporters. Research and compile information to create detailed donor profiles on qualified major donors and prospects. Serve as the campaign lead for the Hope Match Challenge, implementing donor strategy, communications, and goal achievement.

Represent Oliver Gospel at community or partner events. Provide the supervisor with donor information, reporting, and analytics as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
