Custodial Worker (Days)

The North Rockland (Haverstraw-Stony Point) Central School District is seeking candidates for the anticipated position of Custodial Worker (Days). This is a full-time 12-month position that includes a regionally competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES Clean and dust surfaces such as furniture, blinds, window sills, etc.

Maintain floors by sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, waxing, stripping and refinishing Wash windows, walls, tables, bathrooms, etc. Clean light fixtures and replace bulbs as needed Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables Move furniture and equipment Load and unload delivery trucks and transports supplies to proper areas Assist in building maintenance work Refill soap, toilet paper and paper towel dispensers Perform exterior maintenance such as mowing lawns, sweeping sidewalks, shoveling snow, etc.

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS Working knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment Ability to understand and follow simple oral and written directions Ability to read and communicate in English MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: No formal education, training, or experience is required.
