Greenacres Eye Associates is seeking a reliable and patient-focused Optician to join our team in Greenacres, FL. The ideal candidate has experience in optical sales, frame selection, lens dispensing, and providing a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with frame and lens selection based on their needs and preferences. Dispense eyeglasses and contact lenses accurately. Take and verify measurements for eyewear. Order lenses and coordinate with optical laboratories. Perform lensometry and operate optical equipment as needed. Perform basic eyeglass repairs and adjustments.

Assist with lens selection, fitting, and final inspection. Process optical sales, insurance claims, and related patient transactions. Maintain accurate patient and optical records. Provide friendly, professional service throughout the patient experience. Follow HIPAA and office policies.

Qualifications

Previous experience working as an optician or in an optical setting. Knowledge of frame selection, lens products, ordering, repairs, and adjustments. Strong customer service and communication skills. Comfortable working with optical equipment and computer systems. Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable. Ability to work effectively in a patient-focused environment.

Certification is not required.
