About the Job

A private practice in Myrtle Beach is seeking a reliable and patient-focused Optician to join our team. We are looking for someone with optical experience who takes pride in providing excellent patient service and helping patients find the right eyewear.

Responsibilities

Educate patients and recommend appropriate lenses, lens treatments, and frames. Take accurate measurements and assist with eyewear selection. Order lenses from optical laboratories. Process insurance claims and related paperwork. Inspect completed lab work for accuracy. Notify patients when orders are ready. Perform eyeglass repairs and adjustments.

Provide friendly and professional patient service. Maintain accurate records and complete computer-based tasks.

Qualifications

Previous experience in the optical field. Knowledge of frames, lenses, measurements, and optical products. Comfortable using computers and electronic health record systems. Strong communication and customer service skills. Good organizational and data-entry skills. Strong attention to detail. Reliable, self-motivated, and professional.

Comfortable working with basic mathematics.
