School Social Worker

Location: Renton, WA Job Type: Part -Time, Grades: Middle School Schedule: Flexible (10 hours per week) Hourly Pay : $45/hr Weekly Pay: $450/Wk About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and student-centered School Social Worker to support school students in Renton, WA. The ideal candidate will provide direct counseling, collaborate with families and staff, and help build a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment that promotes both emotional and academic success.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct psychosocial assessments to identify student needs and barriers to learning. Provide counseling and social-emotional support to students. Assist students with behavioral and mental health challenges. Respond to crises and support student safety planning. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Coordinate services with community mental health providers and support agencies. Maintain accurate documentation and case management records. Promote trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices.

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program. Active Washington State credential: LSWAIC, LMSW, LICSW, or School Social Worker ESA, as accepted by the district. Knowledge of Washington mandatory reporting requirements and professional ethical standards. Strong communication, counseling, and documentation skills.
