Assistant Manager - Quality

Job Title: Assistant Manager – Supplier Quality Assurance Function / Department: Quality Qualification : BE/Diploma -Mechanical Desired Experience required : 10-15 Years Candidate Profile: Diploma / Graduate in Mechanical Engineering Should have sound Knowledge in Quality systems and drive in the precision – Engineered components in Hydraulics.

Excellent communication skills, team player, self-driven, high initiative. Experience: 10 – 15 years Technical Profile: Extensive knowledge of hydraulic cylinder manufacturing processes or any similar process involved which including Machining, Welding, Forging, casting, Grinding, Housings, Brackets, Precision Mechanical Components and Assemblies.

General understanding of manufacturing process controls, special processes, heat treatment, surface finishing/coating, dimensional inspection, tooling and process capability requirements. Experience in supplier qualification, development, industrialization and product launch activities for new and existing suppliers. Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, Run@Rate and production readiness reviews.

Experience in supplier process audits, quality system audits and manufacturing assessments in accordance with IATF16949, VDA 6.3 and AIAG requirements. Ability to read engineering drawings, technical specifications and GD&T requirements, with good understanding of dimensional and tolerance controls. Capability to identify and resolve manufacturing and quality issues through effective supplier management and process improvement.

Problem solving analysis skills with a logical and methodical approach (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone). Experience in failure analysis related to machining, stamping, plastic and MIM processes, including root cause identification and corrective action implementation. Knowledge of process capability analysis, statistical methods and continuous improvement tools to drive supplier quality performance.

Prototyping & Testing Ontime clearance of incoming goods and coordinate incoming team Documentation Other Skills: Project Management and Leadership Skills. Manufacturing Process Auditing and Supplier Development. Quality practices: AIAG APQP, PPAP, DFMEA/PFMEA, MSA, SPC, DOE, IATF16949 etc. Fluent spoken and written English.

Knowing Multiple languages is plus Previous working experience preferably in Hydraulic cylinder manufacturing / or any similar manufacturing process iof automotive industry. Six Sigma experience, Lean Manufacturing expertise, Green/Black Belt is a plus. Communicate in a clear and concise manner with all business functions and suppliers.

Excellent personal organization and capable of planning and managing own work. Reporting: This position is reported to Dept Head. Work Location: Hindupur
