Emergency Veterinary Technician | $25.00-$29.00/hour starting, based on experience and licensure + Additional $4/hr shift differential Pet Emergency & Referral Center (PERC) | Palm Beach Gardens, FL $2,500 Sign-On Bonus for Licensed Veterinary Technicians + $2,500 Relocation Assistance When Applicable Up To $2000 Sign-On Bonus Structure Available for Qualified Unlicensed Technicians Full-Time, Part-Time, or Per-Diem Openings | 12-hour shifts | Days, Evenings, or Overnights available Pet Emergency & Referral Center (PERC) is hiring experienced Veterinary Technicians to join our Emergency team in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
This is an opportunity for a Veterinary Technician who enjoys fast-paced emergency medicine, hands-on patient care, critical thinking, and working alongside experienced emergency veterinarians and board-certified specialists.

Triage emergency patients and assist with critical patient assessments, monitor hospitalized and critically ill patients , p rioritize patient needs based on condition and urgency Perform venipuncture and place IV catheters , a dminister medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians , p erform in-house laboratory testing and diagnostic procedures , a ssist with emergency procedures and surgery , m onitor anesthesia and safely recover patients Collaborate with emergency veterinarians, board-certified specialists, Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and other hospital team members, communicate patient updates, diagnostic findings, and concerns with veterinarians and the medical team , m aintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation Provide compassionate support and clear communication to clients during stressful situations Cross-train throughout the hospital and continue developing advanced technical skills, participate in mentorship, continuing education, and ongoing clinical training Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient care environment Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience in veterinary medicine required, prior Veterinary Technician experience required LVT, CVT, or RVT credential preferred, but not required Emergency or critical care experience preferred Comfortable prioritizing and triaging emergency cases , u nderstanding of veterinary nursing and patient care Calm under pressure with strong critical thinking and decision-making skills, able to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency and specialty environment Detail-oriented, dependable, and team-focused , s trong communication and interpersonal skills Passionate about learning and providing exceptional patient care, flexible and willing to cross-train throughout the hospital Fluent English speaking and reading skills required About the Hospital Pet Emergency & Referral Center (PERC) is a busy, growing 24-hour emergency and specialty veterinary hospital serving Palm Beach Gardens and the surrounding community.
