, helping us share our commitment to great food, quality craftsmanship, and community. We are currently seeking a Weekend Cook to join our team in Edinburgh, Indiana . This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in preparing high-quality food, and thrives in a collaborative restaurant environment.

Position Summary

The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to company recipes and standards while maintaining food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and food safety. The ideal candidate is dependable, team-oriented, and passionate about creating outstanding dining experiences. This position requires weekend availability and is weekends only.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation Prepare, portion, and organize ingredients for daily service. Follow recipes, prep procedures, and portion guidelines accurately. Ensure ingredients are handled and stored according to food safety standards. Maintain proper food rotation and inventory practices. Cooking & Plating Prepare and cook menu items to company standards for taste, quality, and presentation.

Execute cooking techniques accurately and efficiently. Plate dishes according to established presentation guidelines. Maintain consistency and quality during high-volume service periods. Kitchen Operations Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation. Assist with opening, closing, and ongoing kitchen duties.

Properly clean and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils. Support dishwashing and other back-of-house responsibilities as needed. Teamwork & Communication Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure smooth operations. Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff regarding orders, modifications, and guest requests.

Contribute to a positive and professional team environment. Food Safety & Compliance Follow all health department regulations and company food safety procedures. Maintain clean and sanitary work areas at all times. Adhere to company policies, recipes, and operational standards.

Qualifications

Required Must be at least 18 years old . Availability to work weekends. Knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques. Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen duties. Preferred Previous experience as a Cook, Line Cook, Prep Cook, Grill Cook, Restaurant Cook, or Kitchen Team Member . ServSafe Certification or willingness to obtain certification. Experience in casual dining, hospitality, or food service environments.
