Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented, part-time accountant to maintain our financial records, manage day-to-day ledger transactions, and assist with financial reporting. The ideal candidate provides reliable financial oversight on a flexible schedule, ensuring data accuracy and regulatory compliance without the need for full-time staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping & Transactions: Record daily financial transactions, update the general ledger, and properly classify debits and credits.
• Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process vendor invoices, manage bill payments, track customer billings, and handle expense reports.
• Reconciliations: Perform regular bank and credit card statement reconciliations to resolve cash flow or transactional discrepancies.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing essential financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and budget variance reports.
• Tax & Audit Preparation: Gather and organize documents for quarterly reviews and tax return filings.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 2+ years of professional accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Software Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.
• Soft Skills: Excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail, and strict adherence to data confidentiality.

Work Hours & Schedule

• Hours: Part-time, estimated at 20–30 hours per week.
• Schedule: Flexible or set weekly days to be determined upon hire.
