The Hero’s Return is recruiting a Kitchen Porter Hours: Fulltime Location: Battersea Power Station Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour Job Description: Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. Duties Wash, clean, and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors Support the organisation of storage areas, ensuring ingredients and supplies are correctly stored and labelled Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and other areas within the kitchen Help with waste disposal and recycling processes in accordance with health and safety regulations Support the team during busy service periods by ensuring all necessary items are ready for use Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or contamination Requirements Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen hygiene standards Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary operations and hospitality service Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively A positive attitude and team-oriented approach are essential for success in this role This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and culinary arts to gain valuable experience within a professional setting.
