Recreation: Facilities Monitor

POSITION: Facilities Monitor Parks and Recreation Department, Groton Community Center Part-Time, up to 10 hours/week (2 - 3 Days Per Week) Weekday Hours, 12:00 PM (Noon) to 5:00 PM STARTING RATE: $ 19.00 / hour POSITION RANGE: $ 19.00 $20.75 /hour POSITION OVERVIEW & REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Groton Parks & Recreation is seeking a dependable Facility Monitor to oversee daily operations and ensure a safe, welcoming environment at the Groton Community Center during the midday shift.

Responsibilities include

greeting patrons, opening and closing the facility, monitoring public activity, handling security or safety incidents, and providing basic program support, event set-up, and light custodial duties. Candidates should possess strong customer service and problem-solving skills with experience working with people of all age groups.

Preferred qualifications

include mechanical aptitude, security experience, basic computer and administrative experience, alongside the physical ability to frequently stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
