POSITION OVERVIEW

The Plumbing & HVAC General Manager will oversee daily operations, manage department leaders, and ensure projects and service calls are executed with efficiency, quality, and profitability. This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of the Plumbing and HVAC trades, along with the ability to manage both people and processes for sustained growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Leadership Oversee daily operations for Plumbing and HVAC departments, including service, maintenance, and installation projects. Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and performance standards. Monitor KPIs, budgets, and productivity to ensure operational efficiency and profitability. Forecast staffing needs and ensure proper scheduling to meet customer demand.

Team Management Lead, mentor, and coach department managers, technicians, and office staff. Recruit, hire, and retain top talent while fostering a positive, safety-focused work culture. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training opportunities. Customer Service & Quality Control Ensure all jobs meet company quality standards and customer satisfaction goals.

Resolve escalated customer issues quickly and professionally. Maintain relationships with key clients and vendors. Business Development & Strategy Collaborate with ownership to develop growth strategies and business plans. Identify new opportunities for revenue, services, and market expansion. Support sales initiatives and ensure alignment between field operations and sales goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of management experience in plumbing, HVAC, or related service industries. Strong technical knowledge of plumbing and/or HVAC systems and operations. Proven track record of managing teams, budgets, and operational KPIs. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in scheduling, dispatch, and CRM software (e.

g., ServiceTitan, DMER, etc.) Valid driver’s license; trade license a plus but not required.
