Associate Chaplain

Job Summary:# To provide spiritual support/resources/counseling for staff, internal customers and those in the community.# Provide accurate information and support to area clergy and congregations.## To be consistently visible throughout the hospital and to build key relationships with staff.## To provide support and be available for Caro.

Mont Regional Medical Center customers. Qualifications:# ##Master#s degree in divinity, theology, spirituality from an accredited school (SACS or ATS) strongly preferred; Bachelor degree required.# (degree requirement does not apply for employees hired prior to 2000).## Completion of a minimum of one (1) unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) from an accredited Association of Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) Center required; at least 2 CPE units preferred.

Be in good standing with a denominational body.# Annual session to assess pastoral and spiritual functioning with the Manager.##Strong interpersonal skills. Capability of ministering to diverse ages and religious/cultural backgrounds. Professional knowledge and clinical ability sufficient to develop and maintain collegial relationships with physicians, nurses, social workers and other members of the health care team.
