Nurse Practitioner

Willis Knighton Health is seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) Nocturnist to join our hospital-based inpatient team at Willis Knighton North in Shreveport, Louisiana. This position offers a highly desirable 7 days on / 7 days off schedule, providing excellent work-life balance while practicing in a leading regional health system.

Position Highlights 7 days on, 7 days off Night shift: 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM Hospital-based inpatient practice Collaborate with experienced physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and specialists Excellent support from a comprehensive multidisciplinary team Employed position with a stable, physician-led health system Responsibilities Provide comprehensive inpatient care for hospitalized adult patients Perform admissions, evaluations, consultations, and daily patient management Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for acute and complex medical conditions Order and interpret diagnostic studies and laboratory results Perform procedures within ACNP scope of practice and privileging guidelines Coordinate care with hospitalists, specialists, nursing staff, and ancillary services Document patient encounters accurately and timely within the electronic medical record Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives Qualifications Master#s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) Current Louisiana NP license or eligibility for licensure Current DEA certification or eligibility BLS and ACLS certification required Inpatient or hospital medicine experience preferred Compensation and Benefits Competitive salary Health, dental, and vision insurance Professional liability insurance CME allowance Employer-funded pension plan Paid vacation Retirement savings plan About Willis Knighton Health Founded more than 102 years ago, Willis Knighton Health is the largest healthcare system in northwest Louisiana and serves patients across a region extending more than 200 miles.
