Highway Maintenance Worker II- Medium Equipment Operator (61036926)

Operates a tandem dump truck for hauling materials such as asphalt, limestone, dirt, soil, cement, pipe, construction materials and debris.  Works with a maintenance crew performing ditch and shoulder work, cleaning pipes and ditches to include cleaning pipe ends, removing and replacing mailboxes, posts and highway signs.

Flags traffic during road repairs to control flow of traffic, protect equipment, workers and general public.  Assists supervisor in traffic control setup.  Operates a chain saw in cutting trees on right-of-way.  Assists with inclement weather and after hour emergencies.Performs other related duties as assigned.
