We are seeking a forward-looking Senior Software Development Engineer to design, build, and scale next-generation applications leveraging cloud-native architectures, AI/ML capabilities, and modern engineering practices.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of complex software applications. You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and implement scalable cloud-based solutions on AWS. This role offers an excellent opportunity for seasoned professionals to leverage their extensive experience, drive innovation, and make significant contributions to high-impact projects in a fast-paced and cutting-edge environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintainscalable cloud-based applications using AWS services. + Collaborate with cross-functionalteams to define, design, and ship new features. + Implement best practices for cloudarchitecture, security, and performance. + Automate deployment, monitoring,and management of cloud applications. + Write clean, efficient, andmaintainable code in Java, Node.

js, and Python as well as contribute to bothfront-end and back-end development as a full-stack engineer. + Build and integrate AI/ML-poweredfeatures into applications using AWS AI services. + Leverage AWS Kiro and AI-assisteddevelopment tools to accelerate software delivery, automate tasks, and improvecode quality. + Troubleshoot and resolve issuesrelated to cloud infrastructure and applications.

  • Mentor and guide junior engineers,fostering a culture of continuous improvement. + Stay up-to-date with the latestAWS technologies and industry trends. What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) + 8+ years of experience in softwaredevelopment, with a focus on cloud technologies. + Proficiency in AWS services suchas EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and Cloud.

Formation. + Strong programming skills inlanguages such as Python, Java, or Node.js. + Experienced in deploying andmanaging applications using Red Hat Open. Shift Service on AWS (ROSA), leveragingits robust platform for scalable and efficient cloud solutions. + Experience with containerizationtechnologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Familiarity with DevOps practicesand tools. + Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines andtools like Jenkins, GitLab, or AWS Code. Pipeline. + Hands-onexperience with AWS cloud services and building distributed systems. + Experience integrating AI/MLcapabilities into applications (e.g., personalization, NLP, recommendations). + Experience or exposure to AWS Kiroor similar AI-powered development tools.

  • Understanding of promptengineering, AI workflows, or model integration patterns. + Experience working with generativeAI or LLM-based solutions is highly desirable. + Excellent problem-solving skillsand attention to detail. + Strong communication andcollaboration skills. + Executewith a Sense of Urgency + Consistently prioritizes safety and securityof self, others, and personal data.

  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, andstyles. + Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or highschool equivalency. + Is at least 18 years of age and hasauthorization to work in the United States. What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications) + Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field is preferred.

  • Experience working in an airline technology environment is preferred. + AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer certification. + Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing. + Understanding of networking and security principles in cloud environments + Solid knowledge of AI Agentic development + Strong knowledge of Agent Harness concepts and how they are implemented by cloud providers + Strong knowledge with exposure to AWS Agent.
