Service Technician

Key Responsibilities

Repair or replace worn, damaged, or faulty vehicle components according to the assigned job card. Remove and dismantle mechanical assemblies such as engines, transmissions, clutches, gearboxes, differentials, and suspension systems . Inspect mechanical components using appropriate mechanic hand tools and technical manuals as required.

Reassemble, test, clean, and adjust repaired or replaced components and assemblies. Use appropriate diagnostic and testing instruments to ensure repaired or replaced components are functioning correctly. Diagnose, repair, and replace engine management and fuel injection system components . Safely raise vehicles using hydraulic jacks, vehicle lifts, or hoists to access mechanical components underneath the vehicle.

Repair, reline, and adjust vehicle braking systems. Perform front-end and wheel alignment-related repairs and adjustments. Inspect and repair or replace shock absorbers and other suspension components. Identify and repair radiator leaks and related cooling system issues. Follow manufacturer repair procedures, technical manuals, and workshop standards.

Ensure all repairs are completed accurately and according to the job card requirements. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition. Follow all company QHSE and health & safety procedures . Perform other duties as assigned by the Foreman, Supervisor, Workshop Manager, or Service Manager.

Role Purpose To diagnose, repair, maintain, and restore vehicles to proper operating condition, ensuring high-quality workmanship, vehicle reliability, safety, and compliance with workshop procedures and manufacturer standards.

What We're Looking For

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a Service Technician, Automotive Technician, or in a similar position.

Education

High Diploma in Mechanics or a relevant automotive/mechanical qualification. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical systems. Hands-on experience with engine and transmission repairs . Knowledge of clutch, gearbox, and differential systems. Experience with suspension and braking systems. Knowledge of engine management and fuel injection systems.

Ability to diagnose mechanical faults and identify defective components. Experience dismantling, repairing, reassembling, and testing vehicle components. Ability to use mechanic hand tools, vehicle lifts, testing equipment, and technical manuals. Knowledge of vehicle cooling systems and radiator repairs. Strong understanding of workshop safety procedures and safe working practices.
