Varsity Girls Wrestling Coach

Varsity Girls Wrestling Coach Southmont High School is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and knowledgeable individual to lead our Varsity Girls Wrestling program. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in athletics and academics, player development, sportsmanship, and building a positive team culture.

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all aspects of the varsity girls wrestling program Organize and conduct effective practices, training sessions, and competition strategies Foster an environment that emphasizes teamwork, personal growth, and character development Develop athletes at all skill levels, with attention to proper technique, conditioning, and injury prevention Coordinate with the athletic department, assistant coaches, and other school staff Ensure compliance with IHSAA rules and school policies Serve as a positive role model for student-athletes both on and off the mat Qualifications: Prior coaching experience in wrestling Strong knowledge of wrestling rules, techniques, and safety protocols Ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes Excellent organizational and communication skills Must pass a background check per school district policy
