New Truck Delivery Driver

We're looking for a Vehicle Transport Driver who will work with our New Truck Prep team to transfer heavy duty trucks or chase vehicles between dealerships and various customer locations.

Essential Functions

& Responsibilities: Deliver new trucks, used trucks and customer vehicles to various locations within the Chicagoland area. Follow through with customer returns accurately. Communicate any damage or mechanical issues timely to Trans. Chicago. Work with Service and Truck Sales departments to communicate customer feedback.

Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in proper working condition Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order, report to location manager if any issues are found. Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to vehicles.

Other projects and tasks assigned by supervisor. Job Requirements: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. 2 years of driving experience required. Minimum Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement; Class A license preferred. Must be able to successfully pass a DOT medical certification evaluation. Clean DMV motor vehicle record required.

Ability to read and follow written instructions is required. Ability to work independently, customer service skills, organizational skills, and a positive attitude are required. Regular, predictable, and full attendance is an essential function of the job. Driver must be physically capable of performing required work.

Follow appropriate safety procedures while driving trucks to destination of Trans. Chicago locations or customer locations.

Compensation

& Benefits: Compensation: $20/hr-$22/hr.
