JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title: Fiscal Specialist FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Employment Status: Full-Time Service Term: P e r m an e n t Program/Department: Finance/Administration Location: 601 S. Queen St., Lancaster Reports to: Director of Grants Management Number Supervised: 0 Job Summary: Provide timely, accurate financial information to CAP funders and internal decision-makers.
Duties/Responsibilities: Date management and reporting: Utilization of accounting software to prepare timely, accurate, and meaningful financial reports to program leaders and funders; Research and successful resolution of issues regarding budgeting, expenses, and revenues; Accurate and consistent data entry in financial software systems to support reporting and invoicing.
Budgeting and projection Generation of budget-to-actual projections to guide program leaders in decision-making; Support of annual internal budget process and development of specific grant budgets and applications; Interpretation of financial details and data to guide recommendations to programs. Compliance Generate backup documentation at the request of funders, program reviewers, and external auditors; Understand, review, and communicate funding requirements to programs Commit to ongoing professional development in financial regulations, grant guidance, and compliance.
Other Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture Other duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities: Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite products, Microsoft Teams experience Budgeting experience for business or nonprofit organizations Experience with databases, spreadsheets, and report generation Capable of accomplishing work under multiple deadlines while maintaining focus and accuracy; Productive in independent work and a team environment; Able to communicate effectively with coworkers, organizational leaders, and funding representatives; Attentive to secure handling of sensitive information and data; Commitment to detail, processes, and compliance; Willingness to seek clarity and take ownership of tasks.
Satisfactory Child Abuse, FBI, and PA Criminal Background clearances Education and Experience: Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Business, Administration , or a related field, or at least three years of equivalent experience . Normally a typical office environment with minimum exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues Use of arms, hands and fingers to use keyboard and mouse, handle documents and reach for files. Monday-Friday, business hours. Individual shift hours are set based on department need. 37.5 per week.
