General Ledger Accountant

General Ledger Accountant Chino, CA — fully on-site Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday Pay: $26–$32/hour, depending on experience (non-exempt, overtime eligible) Reports to: Controller The opportunity We're looking for a General Ledger Accountant who takes pride in clean books and an on-time close. Working directly with the Controller, you'll keep the general ledger accurate, prepare monthly financials, manage AP coding and payments, and pitch in on receivables when the team needs it.

It's a hands-on role with broad exposure to the full accounting cycle at a growing manufacturer, and real room to develop as the finance team expands.

Responsibilities

Record journal entries, accruals, and adjustments, and reconcile balance sheet accounts each month Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules for the Controller Investigate variances and discrepancies, find the root cause, and recommend fixes Review AP coding in Concur, process vendor payments, and resolve vendor questions Support accounts receivable, including cash application, customer follow-up, and account reconciliation Prepare documentation and schedules for internal reviews and the annual external audit Help improve accounting procedures and internal controls as the company grows Track regulatory and tax requirements and flag needed actions to management Build ad hoc reports and analysis for finance leadership and other departments Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration 3+ years of general accounting experience (accounting internships count) Hands-on experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close Solid understanding of GAAP Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups Highly accurate and organized, with the ability to meet close deadlines independently Curious and analytical, with the persistence to resolve discrepancies fully Clear communicator who works well with both finance and operations teams Trustworthy with confidential financial information Able to work fully on-site in Chino, CA Preferred Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or Dynamics NAV / Navision) Concur Accounts receivable, cash application, or collections experience Manufacturing, consumer products, or distribution background Pay and benefits $26–$32/hour, depending on experience, with overtime eligibility Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and paid holidays Year-round employee events and recognition programs Growth opportunities within an expanding finance team
