Bakery Production Associate Location: Newport, RI Full-Time About Co-Dough Co-Dough is a fast-growing bakery based in Newport, Rhode Island, known for high-quality, made-from-scratch bakery products. As we continue to grow, we’re building a strong production team that cares about quality, consistency, and doing things well.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Bakery Production Associate to join our team and support daily bakery production. This is a hands-on role for someone who works well in a fast-paced environment, pays attention to detail, and takes pride in the quality of their work. Production Associates work across different areas of the bakery depending on daily needs.

You’ll be expected to follow Co-Dough’s recipes and standards, work efficiently, keep your workspace clean and organized, and contribute wherever needed to keep production running smoothly.

Responsibilities

Assist with daily bakery production and preparation Prepare products according to Co-Dough recipes and quality standards Work across different areas of production as needed Complete assigned production within required timelines Maintain consistency in product quality, portioning, and appearance Properly handle and store ingredients and finished products Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace throughout the shift Follow food safety, sanitation, and company procedures Properly use and care for bakery equipment and tools Communicate production, inventory, or quality concerns to management Assist with cleaning, restocking, organization, and end-of-shift responsibilities Support the production team wherever needed What We’re Looking For Reliable, punctual, and consistent Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail Able to follow recipes and instructions accurately Organized and committed to maintaining a clean workspace Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Willing to learn and work across multiple areas of production Positive attitude and willingness to help where needed Able to take feedback and apply it Takes pride in producing high-quality work Previous bakery, kitchen, or food production experience is preferred but not required.

Requirements

Full-time availability Early morning, weekend, and holiday availability as needed Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Ability to perform the physical and repetitive tasks required in a bakery environment Comfortable working around common food allergens, including gluten, dairy, eggs, and nuts Compensation & Perks $18–24 / hour based on experience and demonstrated skill Structured performance reviews with opportunity for increased compensation Tips Free bakery items Clear advancement pathway to Lead Production roles
