Accounts Payable Controller

Application Closing Date: 14 Oct 2026 Compensation Grade: C Lower Purpose of the Role: The purpose of the position is to control and monitor the achievement of performance targets by each team member of the creditors team, therefore enabling suppliers to receive payment timeously. Job Description : •To supervise and ensure accurate and timeous reconciliation and capturing of invoices

• Prepare monthly and daily payments •Prepare and distribute reports to the team •Review adjustments •Ensure documentation is appropriately captured by the team •Ensure that all set objectives are met (individual and team) •Set performance targets for staff and ensure that they are executed •Prepare daily balancing reports •Assist with month-end reporting •Effectively prepare and manage Cash forecasting for the team •Effectively manage the Age Analysis •Effectively manage Debit Balances •Ensure that all supplier queries are followed up timeously
• Update creditors ledgers with reconciled amounts •Maintain and conduct grievance and disciplinary procedures when required •Manage staff performance and facilitate team development •Monitor, analyse, and effectively manage staff attendance and absenteeism •Knowledge of the SPAR Creditors system would be advantageous •SAP experience. •Diploma/Degree in Financial Management qualification an advantage Education: National Senior Certificate _Matric (Required) Skills: Communication, Deadline Adherence, Detail-Oriented, High Accuracy, Interpersonal Interactions, Microsoft Office, Numeracy, Office Administration, Team Leadership, Teamwork, Works Under Pressure Competencies : Work Experience : Employment Equity: SPAR South Rand is an equal opportunity employer.
