Enterprise Data & Analytics Senior Data Engineer Hybrid | San Diego, CA Compensation: $105,000 - $132,000 per year Actual compensation within this range will be determined by factors including experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and other job-related considerations permitted by law. As an Enterprise Data & Analytics Senior Data Engineer, you'll play a key role in shaping and expanding our Enterprise Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence environments.

You'll partner with business and technology teams to design, build, and optimize enterprise-scale data solutions. This role will help drive the evolution of our Enterprise Data & Analytics platform, modernize our data ecosystem, and deliver meaningful insights that empower our business and members. Build and optimize enterprise data warehouse solutions and data integration processes. Develop and support ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Azure Data Factory, Python, and related technologies. Design, develop, and maintain reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements and deliver effective solutions. Support the modernization of data and analytics platforms through Microsoft Azure technologies, including Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake Storage, Synapse Analytics, Apache Spark, and Microsoft Fabric.

Ensure data quality, integrity, accuracy, and availability across enterprise systems. Develop and maintain integrations between internal and external business systems. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, performance challenges, and data-related concerns. Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to strategic data platform initiatives.

Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and code review support to team members. Support source control, deployment, and software development lifecycle processes using Azure DevOps and Git. Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and best practices. Stay current on emerging trends and technologies in data engineering, analytics, business intelligence, and cloud computing.

What You'll Bring

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years of experience in database engineering and design within OLTP and OLAP environments. 5+ years of experience developing data extraction, transformation, and loading processes using SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Python, or similar technologies.

5+ years of experience developing enterprise reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI and SSRS. Advanced expertise with SQL Server 2016 and newer versions. Strong understanding of: Data warehousing concepts Dimensional modeling and star schema design Data modeling and normalization ETL/ELT development Data quality and governance Reporting and business intelligence solutions Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Microsoft Azure data and analytics technologies, including: Azure Data Factory Azure Synapse Analytics Azure Data Lake Storage Databricks Apache Spark Microsoft Fabric Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD practices, and source control management. Python development experience. Experience supporting enterprise-scale data and analytics environments.
