Science Teacher Grades 6-8

Job Description / Essential Elements Middle School Teacher Requirements / Qualifications Single Subject Credential in Physical Science or Geoscience highly preferred. Knowledge of NGSS and a desire to teach reading/literacy skills also highly preferred. Experience with English Language Learners with CLAD highly desired.

Candidates must also be willing to "think outside of the box" when it comes to curricular design and the delivery of best instructional practices in a student-centered culture of learning.

Experience in inquiry based instruction and NGSS is highly preferred. Must possess strong communication skills, and strong organizational skills; The ability to collaborate with other staff in a respectful, professional, and reflective manner; The ability to learn/teach NGSS, analyze data, and have a foundational understanding of Professional Learning Communities.
