Posting Title: Ophthalmologist Industry: Hospital Salary: ₹150,000 to ₹200,000 LPM Work Experience: 0–2 years Required Skills: Manage general ophthalmology cases under senior supervision --- Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and patient assessments to diagnose and manage general ophthalmic conditions.
  • Perform routine and specialized eye tests, including visual acuity, tonometry, slit-lamp biomicroscopy, and fundoscopy.
  • Interpret diagnostic imaging and test results (e.g., OCT, visual field testing, retinal photography) in collaboration with senior physicians.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for patients, including prescribing medications, recommending corrective lenses, and coordinating referrals.
  • Assist in pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing cataract and other ophthalmic surgeries.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including optometrists, nurses, and specialists, to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and hospital-wide educational sessions.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols, patient safety guidelines, and ethical standards in all clinical interactions. --- Requirements:
  • MBBS degree with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology (MD/MS in Ophthalmology) or equivalent.
  • Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) and state medical council.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage general ophthalmology cases under the supervision of senior consultants.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment such as slit lamps, tonometers, and retinal imaging systems.
  • Strong clinical reasoning, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills with patients and colleagues.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in ophthalmic medicine and surgery.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment with minimal supervision during routine tasks.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and hospital information management tools. --- ${job_id}
