Hartley Junction | Hartley, IA Company: Cooperative Energy Company Position: Kitchen Crew Member Position Summary Hartley Junction is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and motivated Kitchen Crew Member to join our team! The ideal candidate has previous food service or kitchen experience, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and can handle multiple responsibilities while maintaining high standards for food quality, cleanliness, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and serve food according to established recipes and quality standards. Handle multiple food orders and kitchen tasks efficiently during busy periods. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment. Follow proper food handling, storage, and safety procedures. Monitor food quality, freshness, and presentation.

Stock ingredients, supplies, and food preparation areas. Assist with inventory management and minimize food waste. Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations. Provide friendly and professional customer service when needed. Work closely with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Follow all company policies and food safety regulations.

Assist with opening, closing, and other daily kitchen duties as assigned.

Qualifications

& Requirements Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred. Must be able to obtain Serv. Safe certification within a timeframe established by management. Strong multitasking skills and the ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a strong work ethic. Basic understanding of food preparation, kitchen equipment, and food safety practices. Strong communication and organizational skills. Willingness to learn and adapt to changing business needs. Ability to remain calm and productive during busy periods.

Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks.
