Transportation Driver (Day shift)

This position contributes successfully to our operations because you will: Approach work with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset, and engaging in Producers Dairy Mission Own and promote a Safety Culture by ensuring a safe work environment and promoting proper safety behavior. Compliance with all federal, state and company driving regulations.

Interface with customers in a friendly professional manner delivering superior customer service. Verify assigned delivery route for the day, obtaining the proper delivery tickets and load sheets along with any other resources to successfully complete deliveries. Locate assigned equipment in yard; performing a vehicle pre-trip inspection and recording any deficiencies; checking load-in trailer for stability while transporting and accurately counting product.

Locate empty equipment (bossy carts, green cases, IC racks); counting and securing equipment on pallets if warranted. Will be certified and trained on the use of an electric pallet jack and forklift. Deliver to multiple delivery locations that will require different delivery types of service. The use of a milk hook, dolly, electric pallet jack or a ramp may be needed.

Asset retrieval at delivery points Maintain accurate records of transported equipment. Collect, review, and submit accurate route settlement paperwork. Maintain professional and appropriate dress, hygiene, and personal appearance. Complete preventive maintenance requirements; troubleshooting malfunctions; maintaining safe vehicle conditions.

Pay Range
