Kitchen Lead

Tribute Eatery & Bar in Coralville, IA is hiring a full-time Kitchen Lead to join our team! We're looking for an experienced, hands-on kitchen professional who can lead by example, support the team during busy shifts, and help maintain high standards for food quality and kitchen operations. Pay $20 - $23 per hour, based on experience.

Schedule & Availability Full-time position Evening and weekend availability needed Full-Time Benefits Paid Time Off- Accrue up to 2 weeks annually based on years of service Medical insurance options with Tribute Eatery & Bar covering 50% of employee premiums Dental and vision insurance options 401(k) plan with discretionary employer match for eligible employees Benefits for All Team Members 25% dining discount for you and up to seven guests Employee Assistance Program with access to free counseling sessions Craft Concepts restaurant discounts throughout Iowa, Omaha, Kansas City, and Missouri Employee appreciation events and team celebrations Responsibilities Lead and support the kitchen team during daily service Work alongside cooks to maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards Train, coach, and support back-of-house team members Coordinate kitchen workflow and help keep service running efficiently Maintain cleanliness, organization, sanitation, and food safety standards Assist with inventory, ordering, scheduling, and managing food and labor costs Monitor food preparation, portioning, and waste to maintain kitchen standards Communicate with management and team members to address operational needs Complete additional duties as assigned Skills and Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older Previous experience working in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant kitchen Strong cooking skills and ability to work multiple kitchen stations Previous kitchen leadership, training, or supervisory experience preferred Ability to stay organized, prioritize tasks, and make decisions during busy shifts Strong communication skills and ability to lead by example Dependable, team-oriented, and committed to maintaining food quality Ability to stand and move throughout the shift Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds About Tribute Eatery & Bar Tribute Eatery & Bar is a neighborhood restaurant serving elevated comfort food, handcrafted cocktails, and memorable dining experiences.
